We've noticed a few small dark patches appear this week on one wall & would like any input on what it is. Put 2 pics up, but not very good quality.

2 things, we have had a shed load of rain lately, & there is no guttering above the outside wall. Can't see any cracks in outside wall either. Many thanks

Any damage to render externally will allow in rain but not allow it to dry trapping the moisture until it eventually find its way out in this case into the home. with a little overhang rain can be driven back by rain under the tiles and work it’s way down through the wall. external photo is poor, but doesn’t look like the verge has been finished correctly.

Got ladder out & got up there. Didn't have phone with me doh, but render on edge under tiles has cracked & bits are missing. Could that be the issue?

Taken a couple of pics of other wall with guttering, not got a good camera on phone or i just take poor photos.

One other query, whilst up ladder. Bigger frontage of roof have what it looks like as polystyrene inserts into end's of tiles but on the smaller bit there are none. Any reason why this is?
Took a couple of the guttering too.

Rightly or wrongly, i raked all the loose stuff out & replaced it. It's only time i had to do it.

The guttering stops short of the affected wall so rain will be discharge against the wall from the corner , if down pipe is blocked (or slow to drain)it will also add to problem .

Probably needs a piece of lead under tiles formed so as to discharge rain back towards gutter.
