Maria Stopes the founder of the modern abortion industry

Nonsense

Marie Stopes was a great advocate of education on contraception.

Thank gods for the wide availability of contraception knowledge which has pretty well done away with the shameful trade of the back-street abortionist.

Ignorance and unavailability of contraception used to lead to a great many unwanted pregnancies, leading not only to widescale amateurish and dangerous abortion, but also to both lots of "orphanages" and childrens homes for the unwanted, and the deaths in childbirth or later of older women, and large families which the parents could not afford to feed or clothe properly.
Marie Stopes was a Nazi, who admired Hitler, didn't she write him a love letter, She even disowned her own son because he married a woman who was short sighted , she didn't want her family gene pool tainted with inferior blood,as for her concern for the poordidn't she say that the lower classes could outbreed the middle classes and that would be a disaster for the "better" classes.
She believed in selective breeding to improve the quality of the British people.

Interesting stuff, and not entirely true:
Her aim was to have her poems distributed through the German birth clinics, but the letter has been interpreted as showing sympathy for Hitler. However, any sympathy she may have had would soon have dissipated when Hitler closed the birth control clinics.[59] On 12 July 1940 she wrote to Churchill to offer a slogan, "Fight the Battle of Britain in Berlin's Air".[

Eugenics had not been disproven then of course.

Many of her views were dodgy, but its a tricky balancing act....do you judge a person by what we know now, or what they knew then?

So, promoter of birth control? Good.
Supporter of eugenics, and a feminist: Bad.

I notice vinty did not try to deny that

You are obviously cutting and pasting from a marie stopes promotional flyer, the question should be is the killing of unborn children ever justified,

I am not cutting and pasting from anything. Are you?

I greatly prefer contraception to abortion, and I am delighted that better information and education, plus the widespread availability of reliable contraception, plus availability of safe surgical abortion where necessary, have pretty well wiped out that hideous scourge of society, the back-street abortionist, and also reduced the number of unwanted and discarded children.
