You're right there Markie!

I grew up in Highbury, next door to Pat Rice (now Arsenal assistant manager) when most of the players used to live in the area. The club was part of the community and your identity.

Of course BAS is right in terms of world events, as the great Shankly said, Football is not a matter of life and death... ;)
 
Some extended family members ran a takeaway near the Highbury ground late '70's, Gooners n'all ;) :D :D

New stadium looks amazing. Highbury's now to be converted into luxury flats...they're selling the pitch by the square foot for £25 a pop. Were going to sell the seats but now not allowed to on health and safety grounds as contains trace elements of cadmium :rolleyes:
