De-creaking stairs...from above

Hello

...and welcome to my third thread of the day.

Some of our stairs are creaky. Some of these I can fix from below, in the cupboard under the stairs, but some I can't unless I remove a load of plaster (and I'm not going to do that!)

So, what can I do, beyond the talcum powder trick (which I have severe doubts about) to quieten these ones down from above after I remove the carpet?

TIA

Jeff

Hi jpjeffery, I have the same issue, fixed first 7 steps from underneath and need to fix the rest.
If your stairs are carpeted this may help.

This is wood adhesive I used to fill in all gaps from underneath, it expands when cures, filling in the voids.
