When I came to use my deck boards I found that some had a white fuzzy mould growing on the underside. I didn't incorporate these into the deck, but I would like to know whether it should be a concern or can it just be wiped off and treated with decking sealer and protector? I would like to use the remaining timber to build a nice planter or two.

Bad storage practice at the suppliers. As the decking will be treated this mould is likely only growing on the moisture that sits on the surface. shouldn't be a problem. You can re-use it as a planter no probs. Remember to treat all cut ends though.
