"For wood in permanent ground or fresh water contact, or providing exterior structural support, Use Class 4 levels of protection MUST be achieved. Anything less and service life, structural safety and customer satisfaction will be compromised."
However i imagine the joists wont be permanently on the ground and will be in stilts, (even if the stilts are only a couple inches high) and air flow will be abundant to dry out the joists, that aswell as the decking boards will be covering 85% of the joists and effectively shielding them to a degree, and the deck isn't structural in terms of holding a house together, with the highest load being a table and chairs and average weight of a person with a beer in hand.
personally i'd go with the UC2, although from my experience there wasn't a great difference in price when i've enquired in the past.
