Decking help

Hi,
I'm planning on building a 4mx3m deck at the bottom of the garden. About a quarter of the deck will be raised (there's quite a drop at the bottom of the garden) was just wondering if I could get some advice on post sizes (75x75 or 100x100) set into concrete or post spikes? and anything else that would help me along the way.

Out of interest, when you say quite a big drop, how big are we talking about here? I'm at the beginning of a similar project hence the interest.
