Hi All,

Just installing my new decking and wanted to add some decking lights.
When I had my kitchen refitted I had 2 new external lights for the garden and got the spark to add another cable to the switch (not connected at the moment) which controls the outside lights. This runs in the wall down the back of the kitchen cabinets to the floor (can be accessed if it take the draws out).

Couple of questions.
1. Can I use 1.5mm t&e for the deck lights if its secured to the deck joist with cable clips?
2.Would it make sense to bring the decking light cable back into the house to connect to live cable with a junction box??

I'm planning on doing the donkey work ready for a spark to wire up.

Cheers
Chris

You need to ask your electrician what he'll be happy with. It's no good someone on here saying t&e is ok for your electrician to disagree and make you rip it all out again.

I personally would not accept t&e for reference.
