Deepish cracks and gaps in wall

Hi, when raking out cracks and removing wall plugs some of the plaster has come away much more than I’ve previously experienced. Will interior filler suffice or is something else required? Thanks!

My experience of repairing holed plaster board and deep cracked wall finish, was to use some kind of fibrous scrim soaked in PVA then fed in via putty knife to just below surface. When set hard a thin skim of a good powder filler did the job well. I got this tip from an old school painter about 30yrs ago, maybe longer, and that scrim roll made all the difference

Depends on PVA quality but 3 or 4 part's water to 1 PVA

Appreciate the info. I’ve some exterior Toupret masonry filler, is it worth using some of that first before the interior?

I wouldn't. Just use the standard powder.
Fill. Give it 45 mins to set and fill again.
Give it 45mins and fill again.
Damp sponge around edges as you go.
Polish off a bit when last fill sets

Although as you want it to bind surface a bit i would go a bit thicker so 3-1
Lash plenty in
