Have above from a friend who bought it second hand without instructions said I could borrow it but does not know how to use it, so maybe someone on here can advise please.
The make is Micromark, it has four modes, air clean, dry clothes, continuous, and automatic, am I right in presuming for dying out a damp room it should be on air clean? can you please advise, thank you for your time.

If you want to remove as much moisture as possible to dry a damp room - use continuous.......;)

It might be worthwhile to buy a cheap hygrometer (damp meter) to measure your humidity levels.

Depending on the humidity level you can start in the highest fan setting and move the setting down as the humidity level decreases.

I haven't seen a Micromark for a long time. Looks like they stand the test of time just fine.
