Dense Coursing Block or Engineering brick

Hi guys

Which product would be most suitable for below dpc? From what I have gathered, the bricks have greater resistance to frost, and a higher compressive strength. But I wanted to use coursing blocks so that I could render the wall.

The build is a single skin garage w/ 100mm dense concrete blocks.
