Hi folks, this may seem random but I’m just a bit concerned, my new kitten knocked a mirror off the wall which dented the pipe from my radiator, I didn’t notice the dent until I put the gas heating on and heard a few clanking noises from said pipe, that’s when I went to inspect the noise and noticed the dent. Is this something to be concerned about? Does it need replacing? Clearly I know nothing about such things so any advice would be helpful, thanks in advance, pics attached.

Have you tried straightening it and retouching the paint? Might be worth trying that first. Other than that it’s a drain down of the central heating and replace the pipe.

Will it affect the heating or the way it works, unlikely. Will it be the cause of the clanking, also unlikely.

Thanks folks for the replies, I haven’t tied straightening it, I wouldn’t like to make it worse, was just worried it being dented would be an issue with gas and all, do you think it would be dangerous at all? That’s my main concern or is it fine?
