Hi,
Just took over a house which has a Megaflo unvented cylinder. New boiler is in the process of being installed and was wondering if it is possible to descale the heating coil and internals of the cylinder. The house will not be used by any tenants for at least a couple of months due to refurb work going on elsewhere in the house. Can I put something like Kilrock descaler or something stronger into the megaflo and then flush out via an outlet once it has done its work? I see Fernox do DS3 but is this ok to use with the megaflo as I assume inside the megaflo it has some sort of floating device that maintains the air gap is there potential to dislodge something or have a bit of scale get trapped and then mess this up?
Cheers
