Hi,
Any advice please - have a designer radiator which never fully heats - tried all the usual suggestions like bleeding etc. etc. and now someone has suggested to change the flow to the top rather than the bottom and the return to the bottom on the same side.
Does anyone know if this likely to work.
Thanks in advance for any info.

First check has been mentioned by ReganAndCarter. Do you have the installation instruction leaflet. They are often available from the internet if you know the manufacture of your decorative radiator.

Which designer/decorative radiator do you have ? its important to know .some and which part never fully heats up,there will be some hot and warm parts depending on the actual design.Cold parts are a fault.

What has been done to achieve better heat distribution throughout your radiator ?

Hi
Thanks for responding - It's an Ximax Oval Tube Vertical Radiator from B&Q
The instructions don't mention baffles just simply "connect flow & return pipes to chosen side of radiator" and then "how to fill and vent instructions were followed
but there is patchy hotter spots and mostly luke warm - all other rads piping hot.

All in one sentence. Recipe for disaster.

As mentioned. There should be a baffle in the flow side of the rad. If not, all bets are off.
