Help needed please. I have just bought a secondhand Dewalt DC390 Circular Saw (type1).
All Dewalt blades seem to be 20mm bore for sale. however, the blade that came on the saw was a 15.88mm bore as measured with my calliper (I assume that equates to 16mm bore). My question is did Dewalt ever make a DC390 saw that took a 16mm size bore, blade or would this be a fake Dewalt circular saw. Should this be a Dewalt can anyone suggest a quality 165mm x 16mm bore replacement blade.

Thanks foxhole I have placed an order for the blade you recommended. Just wondered were you actually aware that some of Dewalt’s DC390 circular saws takes a 16mm bore saw blade and not the usual 20mm.

never owned one of them but with there 36v brother had a 20mm bore american 16mm(5/8)
16mm bore cordless blades were easier to get hold of 8-10 years ago so we used to grind the back of the locking washer off 20mm:rolleyes: leaving a 16mm shaft to take blades
so you either have a yanky one or a modified one :)
the new 18v brushless is 16mm

  7. You can get bore reduction bushes to suite.

I've had DeWalt and Makita blades in the past that had these included.

Thank you for your reply SammyInnit and for your reply bobsuerita regarding the bore reducing bushes mentioned am I to understand that if I purchase a saw blade which has a bore of 20mm I can insert one of the bushes into the hole of the saw blade and it will then fit the 16mm fitting on the circular saw. Hope this makes sense.

If its a yankee one it won't have any CE marks on the label, the charger will also have a yellow 110v plug fitted as they're on 120v mains over there
