So school boy error but I grabbed a bag of nails for my workshop build and just totally forgot to check they were galvanised/stainless. I’ve used them for feather edge cladding, about a week ago and already they’ve started to rust and bleed. All I can think to do is clean the heads up and dab with clear coat. We all know pulling a nail out a feather edge board is never going to end well.

Any tips/advise? Thanks!

Do nothing - even without the galv, they will last for decades in side walls. When they do eventually rust out, just bang galv one in, without disturbing the timber. I would avoid ungalved use on a roof though, where they are more exposed.

You might be able to blob a bit of shellac/knotting solution on them, just a thought. (y)
