Different floor levels

Hi all
I am 12mm out on floor levels between room and extension. 22mm chipboard flooring already down in extension.
What's your thoughts on packing up with 2 sheets of 6mm norbord sterling osb before laying laminate right through?

Looks like a viable option, provided its all firmly fixed down before laying the laminate
