Hello

In order to keep my hearing bills down I have been looking at the digital Radiator Controls. The Peglo ones have Mixed reviews based on the noise the valves make opening and closing. Are there any other makes and models which are better, I have been told about the HR 80 UK RADIATOR CONTROLLER but I can't find any reviews on it.

Many thanks in advance for any replies

Weve fitted a few hundred HR80s, and I have 26 in my own house.

Wouldn't say they are noisey, but noise is subjective.

The Honeywell is monitored and controlled from a central panel (CM67Z) whereas the Pegler Terrier i-temp work independantly.

The bumf I've seen for the Honeywell CM67Z says something about controlling 2 zones.
The pegler I-temp allows each radiator to work independantly, so an infinite number of zones can be controlled separately.

60-odd quid each and another 60-odd quid for the CM67Z RF controller plus VAT. What price do you put on a bit of noise. The Pegler i-temp at 32 quid each from Screwfix is a much cheaper option than the Honeywell system.

Have you fitted any of the Pegler ones? They are half the price and I'm wondering whether it's worth paying the extra for the Honeywell ones, also with the Honeywell ones can you set them to come on and go off when you want?

Many thanks

Having had both the CMZone, The Peglars, and currently the Evo Home (using the same valves as CMZone) I can say that they all work.

Question is do you want to pay for boiler control as well as rad time zone control?

I would say that with a CM927 + Peglars, currently, you would get the best of both worlds.

The Pegler system does not give "Full" Control i.e no interlock woith boiler etc

The Honeywell is the only Part L1 compliant solution of this type!
