Hi

I've got a whole house to do a mist coat on new plaster. I'm going to use a Wagner Airless Sprayer. Can anyone tell me roughly what ratio of water to paint I should be using?

Many thanks
George

Hi George,

The airless spray machines do atomise the paint and therefore a lot of the time a mist coat isn't required. A single coat with 4 layers will suffice. If you paint vertically with a 50% overlap and horizontally with a 50% overlap it will result in 4 layers in a single atomised coat. Provides a very good finish. Hope that helps.

In any case, dilution rates are usually 10-15%.

Regards
Ibby
