Hi has anyone fitted a varilight dimmer switch to run the Philips gu10 led's 7watts? And if so do they work with causing flicker? [/b]

Hi, I have not used Philips bulbs but I suggest contacting Varilight through their website, they are very good at helping.

I had the same issues, and they sent me a later revision of the dimmer module that had newer firmware, and it resolved the issues.

When you contact them, send the codes that are written down the side of the dimmer module on the back on the plate, as they will ask for this.

Depending where you bought it, it may be an older dimmer, and with LED technology moving so fast, its simply not capable of driving your bulbs properly

Hi phatboy I've ordered one from varilight but its not going to be a standard one so made to order. It's a 2 gang touch thinks its the eclipse. One switch is for running 5 7watt gu10 Philips ones so is dimmable and the other touch switch will be an on/off switch than will run some non dimmable LEDs for the stud wall recess. Set me back £72 with delivery hope it does the job

Ahh, so you don't have the issue yet, but are worried you might when it arrives?

The dimmers can be altered once fitted through turning on and off in patterns, so you can change some parameters if you get issues.

On the V-Pro ones I have you can change the minimum dimming level, and change it between trailing and leading edge modes
