What storage system?
Those Dimplex units are not storage heaters, and if you operate them as such you'll sweat all night and freeze all day.
replacing the immersion with an instant electric water heater would be a bad idea. By all means get a new immersion, and a super-efficient insulated cylinder. But not an instant electric water heater/boiler. You will be disappointed after using stored hot water.
