Dimplex Oakhurst PROBLEM

Hi can anybody help please, I inherited a Dimplex Oakhurst from my mum after her death, its been stood in the garage for 3 mth but took it out of the box filled the water tank and pressed remote it lights up but switches off after 30 seconds. Is it easy to fix the problem if not do I need an electrician ? thank you in anticipation
