Hi, sorry if this has been covered before.

We moved into our house about 6 months ago and there is an Infinate Prime alarm control system installed.

We have the room sensors in corners of each room, in one of the rooms we are currently stripping wallpaper and need to take sensor down to get behind it. I have searched the manual but cannot see how to remove it. Any kind of attempt to shift it just sets off the main alarm.

I would be grateful for any pointers.

Start with the alarm unset (day mode, open). Open the detector. Set off the alarm (tamper). Silence the alarm with your code. (Re)move the detector leaving all the connections intact but don't press the internal tamper switch. Complete your work. Refit the detector and put the lid on. Reset your alarm. If you trigger the tamper again, use your code to shut it up.

Alternatively, have your local alarm company program the detector out of the system and/or disconnect it until you have finished decorating.

Tamper alarms usually only sound inside the house - the outside bell doesn't go off and annoy the neighbours.

Many thanks Eighty Two

Will give that a shot, pleased to hear that it won't set off the external alarm!!

think you might find the system is wire free no wires ! but as above open pir case ( be careful as the plastic tab breaks off easy ) put in code unscrew put back together reset system repeat for refitting
