I'm quite embarassed to be posting this question, as it seems the answer is going to be quite straightfoward....

I have these taps on my bath:

And I'm trying to get into the cold tap as currently no cold water comes out. The cold tap on the sink which runs from the same feeder pipe runs perfectly.

There is no sign of a screw, the caps on top of the taps dont seem to be removable caps, ive used a little bit of force trying to pull of the tap heads - no movement. I tried to 'unscrew' the tap head (not sure if this would just shear the splines or tap)..nada.

So within 30mins of starting my little bit of DIY im stuck..and embarrassed.

I haven't really had a go at yanking them off as I don't want to damage something.

Anyone familiar with these taps?

If you unscrew the dome (by hand) on top of the tap head you will find the screw which holds it on underneath. Also put the the plug in in case you drop the screw into the bath.

If there was a camera in my bathroom recording my attempts yesterday and the 3 seconds now it just took to unscrew the top, that £50 from candid camera would definitely be coming my way.

Thanks cozzmic.

Makes me wonder how I get dressed in the morning
