After replacing my hard drive last month due to serious surface defects/ damage, i now have the fear as during start up something is making a quite loud whirring noise. Its definately not the CD drive and i fear that it may be the new HD.
Is there any other physical system damage/ errors that could be inflicting damage to the hard drive? As obviously the current one is only a month old!
