I have a gas hob I no longer want as I’m replacing it with an induction hob when I fit the new kitchen.

I’ve attached a pic of the isolation valve tap that goes to the hob.

Can I simply turn off the supply at this tap and disconnect the gas pipe to the hob or is this something I need to get a qualified professional in for regs etc?

Thanks in advance.
