dishwasher element question

i wounder if anyone can help me with an odd question. I would like to heat a liquid that is passing through a pipe and have seen some dish washer elements that seem to be wrapped around a pipe. can anyone tell me what size pipe they are on & if they are all on the same dia & if not what differant dia's they are on.

The dishwasher 'pipe' heaters are tubes with the heating element built into them

usually around 6 to 8 inches long (cant remember but they are all pretty much of a similar diameter bore)

Most contain some form of temp cut out (in case the liquid stops flowing through)
