Hi all,
Bought a dishwasher today and having gone to install it the mains cable lead is just 6cm short from the socket I was going to use. There is another socket above the work surface but that would mean cutting through the work top which I would like to avoid.
Anyways I was wondering what my options are...
Having called round a few local electricians they are quoting me anything from £60 per half hour to £250 all in to either add a new socket or move it closer.
I am a total newbie when it comes to electrics.
Also my cooker has an outlet next to it which has 2 3pin sockets, one powers the cooker and the other powers the gas hob ignite. Could I use one of these sockets for the dishwasher as they are within reach?
Thanks for any help/guidance offered
