Dismantle kitchen mixer tap

Hi all, the cold water tap is stiff on my kitchen mixer, so I thought I'd get the valve out to give it a bit of a grease, but unfortunately I can't seem to work out how to even get the top of the tap off.

The tap looks like this:

I've labelled the parts in case that helps. There are no screws anywhere to be seen on the tap. A&B appear to be one solid piece, though I tried unscrewing B from A in case there was a screw under there, but no luck. Attempts to just pull the tap off also failed.

I wondered if anyone had any experience with this kind of tap, before I end up inadvertently destroying the thing. (Or deliberately destroying it, given how annoying it is not to be able to do something that should be so simple :) )
