We are currently planning to fit new kitchen units obviously wanting to fit them most economically in the space available. Is there any regulation or advice as to the minimum distance that should be allowed between the electric induction hob and the side of the adjacent oven housing?
Thanks for any help that can be offered. JSGJ

IIRC the recommended minimum is 300mm.
Gives you somewhere to point the pan handles to keep them out of the way, access to the controls (on some hobs)without reaching over the hot bits, and somewhere to put a pan down quick when you find the handle is a lot hotter than you thought it was.

Bear in mind if things are too close, heat and steam from the hob could affect the adjacent carcass

A minimum of 300mm is the sensible distance but I understand the regulated distance is 100mm.
But read the manufacturers instruction, that should detail the recommended distance for that appliance.
