Hello,
I'm in the process of buying a 1960's house that has not been touched for a long while. I will be having a new kitchen installed and hopefully a door to connect the kitchen to the internal garage.
I need to tell the kitchen designer what the likely measurement of the new door will be so he can design the kitchen around it. Is there a measurement the new door has to be from the outside wall? I have hopefully included a picture showing the location.
Any help appreciated!
Regards,
Tim.

You would be a fool not to locate the door so that it is approximately 700mm+ from the inner leaf of the outside wall.

This way you can make use of the adjacent wall for base units work top and wall units.

Tucking it away in the corner renders the corner and adjacent wall useless.
