diswasher wont go

Hi,not having a good week so far can anyone tell me what is wrong with my dishwasher????
It is a indesit d63 and will only light up.checked for kinks in the inlet line,plenty of pressure to the unit,filter in the end of the pipe clear,now I,m stuck and this washing up liquid is playing havoc with my hands!!!!!!!!!!!
