Hi, I'm in the process of installing a new loft hatch, and so far so good, it opens downwards, however, I'm trying to use gas struts to cushion the downward swing, i.e. when opening it, so that it doesn't freely swing down, but the gas struts I have only seem to resist when shutting (pushing the door up), like holding a car boot open. Is there a gas strut/spring that will do what I'm after, so cushion/slow down the opening of it.

Thanks!

probably abit small for a loft hatch but at least you know what your looking for
