Turned heating on yesterday and all worked fine.

Did likewise today and no joy. The boiler is a Malvern 50 and - on the front of the unit - has the ON light lit and the LOCKOUT light lit but the PILOT and RUNNING lights are off.

I have removed the lower casing and see no sign of a lit pilot lamp but equally I don't really know where to look (I'm sure it would be evident) and I see no buttons to press or dials to turn so I'm stuck !!!

There is a loose plastic button on the underside of the case marked RESET but it appears to do nothing.

Can anybody help ?

Could be a number of things, maybe an overheat trip, maybe a dodgy stat, maybe a failed circuit board. Best to get someone out who knows what they're doing to have a look
