I am disconecting an old cooker socket can I replace it with a Double socket for a Hob and a dishwasher. I will put it into the same circiut as the cooker.
I have a fridge freezer can I put a Double socket in and connect it to the existing ring main.
Can anyone advise.

It would depend on the status of "I" in most cases cookers are fitted in food preparation areas which have a special status under Part P.

If you pay your dues to the local authority then very likely you can do as you propose not sure where Lanarkshire is if Scotland then different rules.

But for small jobs it is often cheaper to pay a registered electrician than DIY because of LABC charges.

you mention a Hob

You can't supply an electric hob through a plug since they draw too high a current.

If it is a gas hob, and only uses electricity for the ignition spark, that will be OK.
