Do boilers get noisier as they get older ?

Do fans and pumps get noisier as they get older or am i getting paranoid ?

Not all the time . The old boiler i have has gone extremley quiet since i went for a few pints tonight after finishing, but its an intermitent fault it only happens at a certain time each month.

a fan is quite easy to replace but a pump is harder , you need to drain the system

drain all the radiators ? how do you do that is there a drain on the boiler ?

Replacing a fan is a corgi-only job.
Replacing a pump isn't, though they'd have tools you won't.
What's the boiler????????

Should be a drain cock (ground floor) on 15mm flow or return pipe connecting to radiator.
