We're moving some halogen spotlights which currently have a small transformer each from one room into the hall.
I have been advised by my builder that chances are once his electrician moves the lights across, he will not use the transformers and connect the spotlights directly to the mains.
Is this possible/safe/correct? I was under the impression that some spotlights MUST use transformers, and others are manufacturerd to eliminate the use of a transformer and be connected directly to the 230v mains circuit...
