Hi,

As Title, I have a flush mount consumer unit that is going to go in to the cavity wall in my porch, this wall was originally the external leaf, before a new front door was added by the previous owners.

The opening required for the Consumer unit is :
480mm W * 230mm H * 106.5mm D

Also do i need a cavity tray, considering both leaves of the cavity are now internal?

All advice welcome!

eh?

if you want to be extra cautious, fit a lintel. but, provided there is sufficient masonry above, you could probably remove this width of brickwork with no ill effects.

so long as the bricks are well bonded together of course.
