Do I need to drain my dishwasher matrix

I have a Bosch Silence Plus series 4 which I'm not using. I saw that the matrix reservoir on the left side of the dishwasher had water in it. Should I drain this or can it be left as it is even if I'm not using it?

We didn't use our dishwasher for 6 months and it's fine. Never drained

Just run empty at max temp before reuse.
