i have got a floorboard base then 6mm wpb ply and then do i have or need underlay ?

whats the benefit of it and is one type better then others?

ive seen Quick-Step Perspective V4 flooring that i like and am think of using fiber boards if needed.

is the a special way of fixing the 6mm ply down ?

ply= 22mm RING Shank nails at 150mm centers and 100mm around the outside 12mm from the edge.

Yes you need underlay to stop the floors clapping together. You only need foam underlay. I would not use fibre boards there crap! if you want a good underlay then use a dence rubber like timbermate.
