Hi

Here is the situation:

House was built 1940's - with cavity wall's.

Small bathroom, 1.7m x 1.7m. There is a small bathroom window and a automatic electric fan is being fitted.

There is an airbrick to the external wall. I'd like to block it up as it gives the option to either have a small cabinet or a mirror on the wall.

Will it cause us any issues if we do block it up? Would the automatic electric fan, and the fact that the bathroom window can be left open frequently, counter any possible problems?

Many thanks
George

Thanks for all the replies - we'll have it bricked up now. Bathroom is so tiny, but at least now we can have a mirror or small cabinet on the wall now.

Dont use a window ext fan they can give complications in fitting and further down the rd.
Why not install a powerful wall ext through the air brick position but use a properly shuttered terminal in place of the air brick.
