Hi all,

Our toilet isn't flushing properly, the handle needs pumping a couple of times to make it flush, video here if it helps:

Similar threads suggest it could be the syphon, if it is, is there a standard size?

Thanks in advance.

Change it for the Dudley 88, it is adjustable in height and if the diaphragm splits again (as your has) you just pull the top off the 88.

As what just pumps ^ mentioned also get a new sealing washer (doughnut) and if the securing wing nuts are seized/corroded hacksaw them off and replace with new ones, the bolts vary according to the cistern maker. a photo from below will id them. spray the wingnuts with wd40 or similar now !

or just these wing nut bolts

toolstation sell these.

Edit,video here...

Have a look at fluidmaster and you have your options - but, as above... change the fill and dump valves now for top access ones & be done with bog wrestling for years to come :D
