Hi people,
My toilet flush has been a bit dodgy for a few weeks, requiring a pumping action on the flush handle to get the flush to work.
Now this morning the flush handle does nothing there's no friction or pressure on it at all.....
Can anyone advise on what part I need to purchase and point me in the direction of a video or instructions on how to change it.
That's if this is a job for a DIY novice?
Advice appreciated.
Thanks

Its the sort of job that a DIYer (or friend) can undertake,
I would totally renew all units in the cistern,

Fluidmaster Flapper valve kit, and Fluidmaster fill valve kit ( With Brass Shank).
You will need to remove cistern from the pan to carry out the replacements ( videos on Youtube) dont forget to replace the Doughnut washer between the pan and cistern.

yes, the Flapper gives a good, forceful flush.

and grease the threads on the cistern and seat fixing screws and nuts.

You will know why once you have got the old ones out....

I actually bought some stainless coach bolts, nuts and washers, they have the short square on the shank under the head. IIRC they are M8. A handful should last a DIYer a lifetime.
