Does all roofing need a gutter?

Hi.

Planning or replacing guttering and I have two small sections of roof that currently DO have guttering, but I was planning on just removing it. The bottom section also has a chimney so it's even smaller than the top. Longest edge is about 2.5m.

Where will the water go when I rains?

Normally, you'd gutter those sides with a U shaped gutter and no downpipes, so any rainfall is diverted onto the main roof and down the front/back downpipes.

I guess You don’t NEED gutters anywhere, just be prepared that when it rains it will just pour of the roof!

as water hits dirty window cills and splashes back it will Make your windows dirty, also hitting the ground will cause splashing again paintwork etc.

Thatched roofing doesn't need a gutter
