Does anyone know what and how to use this?

Moved into a new house and we have 3 hobs, 2 gas burner, 2 electric, and a large griddle type halogen.

Not sure what the halogen is for, it isn't smooth, like you'd expect to put a pan on, but doesn't look like it is designed to cook straight onto either.

Is that curry in the pan yeah as above we have one but it goes over two gas burners pretty good for steaks and burgers.

well, used it a couple of times now, can't say it is worth bothering with over a normal griddle. but at least now i know. thanks for all the advise
