Does Rapid Set mortar achieve strength quickly too?

I need to do a quick bit of remedial work tomorrow. A course or two of brickwork then a joist on almost immediately (followed by floor boards).

Do the various Rapid Set mortars also achieve full strength (or something like it) once they're dried?

And which readily available brand would anybody recommend? I've got Wickes/Screwfix/Toolstation/B&Q all near at hand.

Thanks.

Why the rush if its a, presumably, DIY job? Using rapid-set stuff could get you into a rapid mess.
3:1 S&C will work fine. But leave it a day to settle.

If you insist on a rapid-set, then any (cheapest) of them will do - work out how much you need, and read the instructions.

Thanks. What sort of a mess can rapid set get me into?

The rush is that the plasterer needs a floor to work from tomorrow, because we need to paint over the weekend, because the units are coming on Monday.

There is a difference between 'setting' and achieving 'full strength'. I would imagine the rapid-setting stuff would not achieve full-strength any quicker than the normal OPC.

Any plasterer worth his salt, can work with your bit of open floor situation, they are used to improvising platforms etc.
While finding his FFL is merely a level across or a snapped chalk line.

You sound as though you might be rushing into a load of grief - i hope not.
