Permitted planning states that the height of a loft conversion shouldn't exceed the original roof line. Then how does somebody get this through planning where it seems the dormer height exceeds it and is the same height as the parapet wall?
It could have formal planning however my limited experience seems to be that formal planning is far more strict when it comes to dormers compared to what you can get away with under permitted.
Optical illusion? I suppose so, but it does look fairly clear that the top of the dormer is above the apex of the roof.
