Hi there,

I recently had a door put into a single skin garage (new build).

The chap didn't use a lintel, should he have? There are two rows of bricks above, see image.

Advice appreciated,

Thanks

No. It's fine.
Not much room above door for lintel.
No weight either.

Room enough for an angle iron and ,force of RHS roof truss is??? but this may well be taken by wall plate??? Taking corbelling into account door header possibly just taking loads of 7 bricks ,naff all. Header not bending but may change with a full load of snow on roof??? but just mean cannot open door till snow melts????

The trusses also sit on timber that's runs along the line of bricks spreading the load. It seems ok, I'll hope it doesn't snow
