Hi all,

This is my wall which is 4m x 3ft high. It obviously needs some TLC.

Ive been quoted £800 for dismantling/rebuilding damaged areas, and reset stone

Repointing both sides of the wall: £500

Cement capping: £200

Would you say it needs dismantling/rebuilding? And is this a fair quote?

Thanks

Unless it is leaning or bulging in different areas I would say just re-cap it. It will probably out live you.

Look along it from each end. Check if it's in a straight line and whether it's tipping at all.

If all looks OK then it just needs a tidy-up.

The capping looks bad though. Are there other options? E.g. stone?

Thanks, I dont see any bulging or leaning.
Yes, capping very bad. Unfortunately it will need campping like the orginial otherwise will look odd with neighbouring wall (IMHO)
