She is more than happy, to hop on the adapted stairlift, to ride up. I have had her on it coming back down, just to prove it was feasible, but she normally makes her way down. It's painfully slow, one step, a pause, then another, if she goes down in front of someone, but faster if she is on her own. All fine for months, until she developed a phobia...
She would get to the bottom step, before the ground, and get absolutely stuck there, whining, indecisive, maybe end up tripping, and falling on to the floor.
That lasted for several weeks, before her confidence overcame the problem, and now she's fine with the bottom step.
